The abducted children of a Kaduna State judge, Janet Galadima, have regained their freedom.
The children were released by their captors suspected to be bandits terrorising the north after fifteen days in captivity.
The Chairman of the Kaduna State branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Godwin Ochai confirmed the release of the children on Tuesday, LEADERSHIP reports.
Within Nigeria had reported that the judge and her sons were abducted at their residence in the Mahuta area of Kaduna on 23 June.
While in captivity, the kidnappers killed Victor, the 14-year-old eldest son of the judge, over their inability to pay the ransom demand by the bandits.
The spokesperson of the State’s Police Command, ASP Mansir Hassan, however, confirmed the killing of Victor.
The bandits later released the judge a few days after her first son was murdered without her other children.
