- His remains were transported to Zaria from Kubwa General Hospital for burial
A police inspector, identified as Hussaini Umar, has reportedly been murdered in Abuja by suspected members of a “one chance” syndicate.
Hussaini Umar, who was attached to the Force Intelligence Bureau (FID), boarded the gang’s vehicle from Maitama Junction to his home in the Dei-Dei community on Friday.
His remains were transported to Zaria from Kubwa General Hospital for burial.
A police official in the convoy, who requested anonymity, stated that Umar was stabbed by the robbers before being dumped near a bridge close to NNPC Junction in Kubwa. Subsequently, another vehicle ran over him.
Motorists alerted a nearby police patrol team, who then took Umar to the hospital.
SP Josephine Adeh, spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, could not confirm the incident but promised to make inquiries and provide further information.
