In a disturbing incident, armed men have reportedly shot Alhaji Musa Majaga, a Chieftain of the Progressives Congress (APC), and abducted at least five residents in Yangoji, located in the Kwali area council of the Federal Capital Territory.

According to The Whistler, the assailants stormed the chieftain’s residence early Monday, shooting him and kidnapping his two children.

They proceeded to another apartment, where they abducted three additional residents.

Local security officials suspect the attackers exploited a shortage of cartridges to carry out their assault.

The affected chieftain, who was shot in the leg, is said to have been taken to a private hospital at Gwagwalada for treatment.

The FCT police command has not reacted to the incident.
