The Federal Government has refuted online reports claiming that the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board is set to initiate a recruitment exercise for the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Federal Fire Service.

Ja’afaru Ahmed, FICMC, the Secretary to the Board, denied these reports in a statement on Monday, urging Nigerians to disregard them.

“The attention of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has been drawn to several online publications on recruitment into the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Federal Fire Service,” Ahmed stated.

“For the avoidance of doubt, we wish to inform the general public that the Board is currently carrying out a recruitment process in the Federal Fire Service only. The next stage of this exercise will commence in August and conclude by the end of September 2024.”
