Wife hacks husband to death over goat stolen by daughter in Borno


A 40-year-old woman identified as Lydia Aji has been arrested by the Borno State Police Command for allegedly striking her husband with an axe, resulting in his death.

It was gathered that the incident occurred in Kautikari village, located in the Chibok Local Government Area.

Speaking on the development, the Police Public Relations Officer in Borno, ASP Nahum Daso confirmed the arrest.

He stated that the suspect, identified as Aji, was taken into custody following the fatal altercation with her husband.

The incident reportedly happened during a domestic dispute.

He said;

“Lydia Aji struck her husband on his head with an axe and he d!ed instantly.

“Investigation further revealed that the couple had a misunderstanding over their daughter, Rachael Aji 13, who stole a goat and sold it to an unknown person. The angry father then asked them to leave his house. The case is still under investigation.”
