Amadou Onana

Aston Villa have successfully signed midfielder Amadou Onana from Everton in a deal worth £50 million.

The 22-year-old midfielder, who played every minute of Belgium’s Euro 2024 campaign, will now have the chance to represent Villa in next season’s Champions League.

Onana joined Everton from Lille in 2022 for £33 million and made 72 appearances for the Toffees, scoring four goals. He was previously linked with a move to Arsenal in 2023.

Onana is Aston Villa’s eighth summer transfer window signing, following the arrivals of Ian Maatsen, Barrenechea, Samuel Iling-Junior, Ross Barkley, Lewis Dobbin, Cameron Archer, and Jaden Philogene.
