At least three people have lost their lives after a building collapse in Nassarawa State.

The building, an old one, was said to have collapsed in Asakio main market in Lafia Local Government Area of the State.

Two women and a child died while many others reportedly sustained varying degrees of injuries as a result of the tragic incident which happened on Monday.

The incident grounded commercial activities in the market to a halt.
