The Adamawa State government has denied claims of receiving the 20 trucks of food items allocated by the Federal Government, asserting that it has been independently distributing relief materials to its citizens within its limited resources.
During a press briefing, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon Iliya James, confirmed the receipt of a portion of the fertilizer allocated to the state, which is currently being distributed. He highlighted the government’s dedication to the welfare of its citizens despite facing significant challenges.
The government also urged citizens to avoid gatherings that could lead to negative outcomes, referencing the lessons learned from the EndSARS protest. It stressed the importance of peace and stability for development and warned against those who might seek to cause destruction and destabilization.
Commissioner James reassured citizens that Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s administration is diligently working to address the state’s challenges and improve living conditions for its residents.
