A full blown melee has broken out at the ongoing protest in the Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory.

Suddenly, masked security operatives suspected to be personnel of the Department of State Services started shooting sporadically at protesters.
As a result, the protesters ran inside bushes around the stadium with some of the security operatives giving them a hot chase.
Afterwards, the remaining masked operatives on the ground came for the journalists who were at a separate spot.
As they approached, journalists fled, scrambling into any available vehicle.
The masked security operatives fired sporadically at the fleeing journalists.
A car belonging to a Premium Times reporter was shot at while in motion, according to Punch.
Nigerians in their thousands have been on the street since Thursday calling for an end to bad governance and hardship in the country.
The protests entered its third day on Saturday.
However, security forces have treated protesters and unarmed civilians with brute force and violence, killing many demonstrators across the country.
