- The theft happened on the protest’s first day
Hoodlums have stolen over 205 chairs, musical instruments, and other valuable items from a church in Katsina State during a peaceful protest against hardship.
The incident occurred at Living Faith Church in Daura, preventing Sunday services from taking place.
Pastor David Sarki reported that the theft happened on the protest’s first day.
“The hoodlums took everything inside the church, including musical instruments and a desktop computer,” he said.
“Three churches were targeted, but only Living Faith Church and Deeper Life were invaded.”
Pastor Nelson Onyekachuku, whose church was also attacked, condemned the actions and called for government intervention.
The police have made some arrests, but no official statement has been released by ASP Sadiq Abubakar.
