  • The state maintained the need to maintain law and order.
  • The state government has earlier imposed and relaxed a curfew on residents.

The Kaduna State Security Council says individuals disguising themselves as protesters with the intention of causing chaos and destruction will meet their Waterloo.

This warning comes after a thorough assessment of the current security situation in the state.

In a Saturday statement, the Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, announced that the Council has prohibited unverified processions due to concerns for public safety and security.

This decision was made after intelligence revealed that criminals were exploiting genuine protests to commit acts of terror and vandalism.

The Council acknowledged the fundamental rights of citizens to freedom of expression and assembly but emphasizes that security forces will not tolerate criminals exploiting these rights.

The statement urged citizens to adhere to the 6 pm to 8 am curfew and report any suspicious activities to the Security Operations Room.

The Council reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and properties and vowed to take decisive action against anyone perpetrating violence or criminality.
