APC Senator Blames Governor Bala Mohammed for Hardship in Bauchi State

Senator Buba Accuses Governor Mohammed of Causing Hardship in Bauchi State

Senator Shehu Umar Buba

Senator Shehu Umar Buba, representing Bauchi South, has accused Governor Bala Mohammed’s administration of being responsible for the widespread hardship and hunger in Bauchi State. During the All Progressives Congress (APC) statewide campaign kickoff for the upcoming Local Government Elections, he made these allegations.

Responding to Governor Mohammed’s remarks criticizing President Bola Tinubu’s EndBadGovernance speech, Buba chastised the governor for politicizing the protest. He emphasized that President Tinubu’s political strength far surpasses Governor Mohammed’s, stating, “President Ahmed Tinubu is not your political mate. You cannot compare your political strength with Tinubu because I am your political mate as we belong to the same political godfather, former Bauchi State Governor, Malam Isa Yuguda.”

Buba dismissed claims that the APC’s policies at the federal level were responsible for the hardship, labelling them as misleading and false. He highlighted several federal interventions, such as providing 20 trucks of rice, 70 trucks of guinea corn, and 70 trucks of assorted fertilizer to Bauchi State, which he claimed were either mismanaged or not distributed to the populace.

“The Governor Bala Mohammed causes this hardship in Bauchi state led PDP administration. It is a one-man government, highly corrupt and ineffective. I challenge the governor to prove me wrong on all the allegations,” Buba asserted.

He further criticized the PDP government in Bauchi State, claiming that nothing is functioning properly despite the billions of naira received from the federation account. Buba expressed confidence in the APC’s chances in the upcoming local government elections, predicting that a victory would signal what will come in the 2027 general elections.

The State APC acting Chairman, Hon Mohammed Hassan Tilde, also expressed the party’s readiness to challenge the ruling party in Bauchi State and urged APC members to protect the party’s votes during the elections.
