- Ogie resigned to contest as Ighodalo’s running mate
- He is the running mate to the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo, in the September 21 election in the state.
Osarodion Ogie has left his role as Edo state government secretary to join the upcoming election as Asue Ighodalo’s running mate.
This move allows him to pursue his political ambitions alongside the Peoples Democratic Party’s governorship candidate.
Asue Ighodalo is the PDP’s choice for governor in Edo state, with the election set for September 21, 2024.
This election will determine the next governor of the state.
Ogie’s resignation, effective August 9, aligns with the electoral law requiring officials to step down before seeking office.
This ensures a smooth transition and adherence to legal requirements.
