Former Arsenal and Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez has rejoined Udinese on a free transfer, 18 years after first signing with the club. The 35-year-old was released by Inter Milan when his contract expired in July.
Sanchez originally played for Udinese from 2006 to 2011 and has now signed a two-year contract with the club. During his career, Sanchez scored 80 goals in 166 games for Arsenal after joining from Barcelona in 2014. However, his time at Manchester United was less successful, managing only five goals in 45 matches after moving there in a swap deal in 2018.
Sanchez later joined Inter Milan on loan in 2019, a move that was made permanent the following year. After his Inter contract was terminated in 2022, he spent a season at Marseille before returning to Inter, where he contributed to their Serie A title win last season.
