A tragic accident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway resulted in the loss of at least 16 lives when a trailer crashed into multiple vehicles.
The incident occurred on Tuesday at Ojoo-Iwo road, leaving a trail of destruction and chaos.
According to Mayowa Odewo, spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), two people miraculously escaped the accident without harm.
However, 17 others suffered varying degrees of injuries, bringing the total number of people affected to 35.
The accident involved three vehicles: a commercial bus, a taxi, and a private SUV, all of which were severely damaged.
The crash was caused by the brake failure of a Mack truck, which lost control and rammed into the other vehicles.
