The newly appointed Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoSF), Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, has committed to continuing the work laid out by her predecessor, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, under the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021-2025 (FCSSIP-25).
Walson-Jack made this commitment on Wednesday in Abuja during her official assumption of duty, where she was greeted by permanent secretaries, directors, and staff members.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed Mrs. Walson-Jack the new HoSF on July 17. Her official swearing-in took place on Monday during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the State House. She formally succeeded Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan on Tuesday in Abuja.
In her remarks, as she took office, Walson-Jack stressed her dedication to advancing ongoing civil service reform initiatives and ensuring the fulfilment of the office’s mandates in line with the current administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
She also called for the continued support of the management and office staff.
Walson-Jack underscored the crucial role of technology in driving transformation within the civil service, stating that its adoption is non-negotiable.
