Youth leaders forum exposes imposters, commends FG on protest handling

says authentic National Youth Leaders can be verified through INEC

The Forum of National Youth Leaders of Political Parties in Nigeria (FNYLPPN) has sounded the alarm on a group of individuals masquerading as members of the forum, defrauding unsuspecting persons.

In a joint statement, the forum’s leadership condemned the actions of these imposters, emphasizing that only serving National Youth Leaders (NYL) of political parties are recognized as members of the forum.

The statement warned that these individuals, mostly deposed or former youth leaders, should not be seen as representing the forum or acting on its behalf.

The FNYLPPN commended the government for its handling of recent protests, particularly the Minister of State for Youth Development, Hon. Olawande Wisdom, and security operatives who demonstrated professionalism and patriotism.

The forum emphasized the need for dialogue to address the challenges facing the youth and the nation.

It said plans are underway to mobilize youth structures across the country to engage in dialogue with authorities.

Speaking further, the FNYLPPN reiterated its commitment to advancing the cause of the youth in Nigeria through political interventions, adding that plans are in place to commence post-protest dialogue and engagements to address the issues raised during the protests.

The forum appealed to the youth to exercise restraint and collaborate towards finding lasting solutions to the challenges confronting them.

The statement was jointly issued and signed by Auwal Muhammed Musa, Chairman, FNYLPPN, Hon. Chinazam Ike, Vice Chairman, FNYLPPN, Comrade Wolimoh Olajide, Secretary, FNYLPPN and Comrade Anslem Eragbe, Publicity Secretary, FNYLPPN.

It added that the authentic National Youth Leaders of various political parties can be verified through a simple investigation with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

To avoid confusion, the structure of the forum is as follows: Comrade Bonaventure Akabude [AA], Comrade Nixon Chukwukaodimbu [ADC], Hon. Hauwa Yusuf [ADC], Dr. Dayo Israel [APC], Hon. Tochi Ugoh [APP], Comr. A.M. Yahaya Esq [APM], Hon. Mohammed Umar [BOOT PARTY].
