One Isah Mohammed, an Immigration officer, has been killed by a band of rampaging youths in Niger State.

Mohammed, an indigene of the Zhitsu Babi area of the Doko community was killed on his farmland on Wednesday.
The deceased was said to have gone to his farmland where he attacked by some hoodlums suspected to be from the rival community over the land dispute.
It is gathered that the land dispute between the two communities has been on for years without any resolution by the traditional institution or law enforcement agencies.
Niger State Police Command Spokesman, Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the incident, saying the victim was rushed to the Umaru Sanda General Hospital, Bida where he was confirmed dead.
“On 14/8/2024 at about 1130hrs, it was reported at Doko Div that one Isah Mohammed of Zhitsu Babi area of Doko was attacked in the farm by some suspected irate youths of Kupafu village over a lingering farmland tussle.
“The victim was attacked and became unconscious, police operatives from Doko Div rushed to the scene but the miscreants had fled
