Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has appointed Major-General Muhammad Inuwa Idris (rtd) as the newly established Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security commissioner.
The announcement came shortly after the governor inaugurated the new boards of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, Yusuf Maitama Sule University, and Kano State Polytechnic.
The Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security was created about five months ago, but the commissioner position had remained vacant until now.
Governor Yusuf urged the newly appointed officials to execute their duties skillfully and efficiently. He emphasized the importance of bold leadership in driving governance that will promote rapid growth in the state.
