Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has commenced the distribution of Federal Government-donated food relief to more than 10,000 families in Mafa Local Government Area.

The exercise took place on Tuesday across four centers in Mafa town.

Each household head received a package that included a bag of maize grain. Governor Zulum expressed gratitude to the Federal Government for the support, noting that similar distributions had been carried out in Gwoza and Nganzai.

“This marks the last batch of food items donated by the Federal Government. Previously, we distributed similar aid in Gwoza and Nganzai,” Zulum said.

In addition to the food relief, Zulum launched the distribution of N150 million to 15,000 women in Mafa town. Each woman received N10,000 in cash along with a wrapper, provided by the Borno State Government.

“Each female head of household will receive a wrapper and a sum of N10,000 through our Microfinance Bank,” the governor stated.
