Security: Be vigilant, proactive –Tinubu charges military

A total of 111 participants, including 19 from foreign countries, took part in the course.

  • Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing Tinubu, urged the participants to continue demonstrating patriotism.
  • The Federal Government will consider implementing the key recommendations made by the participants in their final report.

President Bola Tinubu has tasked the Nigerian Armed Forces to remain vigilant and proactive in addressing regional security threats.

Tinubu gave the charge at the Graduation Ceremony of Course 32 of the Nigerian Defence College Abuja.

Represented by the Vice President Kashim Shettima, Tinubu said his administration is determined to make Nigeria safe for investment and economic prosperity.

He stressed the need for strategic leadership to address the mirage of security challenges in the country.

A total of 111 participants took part in the course, with 19 foreign participants.

While addressing the participants, the VP urged them to continue to uphold the value of patriotism.

He said the Federal government would look into the fundamental recommendations made by the participants in their overall report to implement them.

He also promised that his administration would complete the ongoing work at the permanent site of the National Defence College.
