The Joint Task Force (JTF), under Operation Delta Safe, has arrested two suspects accused of producing fake documents to aid the illegal sale of crude oil in the Niger Delta.
Commander John Okeke revealed that the suspects, Magaji Musa and Umar Musa, were apprehended during a raid at their Port Harcourt residence on Tuesday.
“These individuals specialized in creating counterfeit documents to enable the free passage of stolen crude oil in the Operation Delta Safe Joint Operation Area,” Okeke said. “Their activities have played a major role in allowing oil thieves to avoid detection, thereby fueling the ongoing illegal bunkering operations in the region.”
