Legendary football coach, Sven-Goran Eriksson, has passed away.
The former England manager died on Monday at the age of 76 after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer.
Eriksson’s family confirmed his death in a terse statement.
“Sven-Goran Eriksson has passed away,” the statement read.
“After a long illness, SGE died during the morning at home surrounded by family.”
At the beginning of 2024, the Swede revealed he only had a year to live “at best”.
