The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced a temporary change of venue for the orientation camp of the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream II corps members, moving it to Adamu Tafawa Balewa College of Education in Kangere, Bauchi State.
According to Mrs. Rifkatu Yakubu, the NYSC state coordinator, this decision was made public on Monday in Bauchi to facilitate the upgrade of the Permanent Orientation Camp in Wailo, Ganjuwa Local Government Area.
The renovation, initiated by Governor Bala Mohammed, requires the temporary relocation of the orientation camp to prevent any disruptions to the work.
The NYSC has assigned 1,900 prospective corps members to Bauchi State for the orientation exercise, which will take place from August 28 to September 17.
“The relocation to the new facility becomes necessary to allow the state government to pursue the renovation work of the permanent orientation camp,” she said.
Yakubu said the scheme has deployed 1,900 prospective corps members to the state for this orientation exercise, scheduled to hold between Aug. 28 and Sept. 17.
“Prospective corps members are advised to avoid night journeys. They are enjoined to always break their journeys and continue the following day.”
