Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s special adviser on Media and Publicity, conveyed the President’s message, expressing the government’s sorrow over the flooding incidents. According to recent data from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the floods have resulted in the loss of lives, damage to thousands of hectares of farmland, and displaced thousands of people nationwide.
“The President sympathizes with all victims of these ravages of nature, especially bereaved families, farmers, displaced communities, and those who have lost property,” Ngelale stated. He also emphasized that President Tinubu is committed to building a more climate-resilient and adaptive society to address these environmental threats.
The President has expressed his condolences to the families who lost loved ones in the floods and assured Nigerians that his administration, through relevant agencies, will continue to provide essential support to the victims.
