Nasarawa police arrest quack doctor over patient’s death

Police in Nasarawa State have arrested Isa Usman, an unqualified doctor, for allegedly causing the death of Zaki Yaka Ajohol after administering a Procaine Injection.

The incident occurred in Iyayi Village, Keana Local Government Area, after Usman, with only primary school education, administered the injection for three consecutive days to treat typhoid. On the fourth day, the patient lost consciousness and later died at a nearby healthcare facility.

Police spokesperson DSP Ramhan Nansel confirmed the arrest, stating that Usman had claimed to have received informal medical training. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
