The Public Relations Officer of the service, Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi, who confirmed the incident, said two persons had been rescued alive so far and taken to the hospital.
The building was said to have collapsed due to overflow of the waterway which affected the building located close to the waterway.
The Kano State Emergency Management Agency had said on Wednesday that 31 persons were killed and 5,280 houses destroyed by flooding in the state.
