The Zamfara state government has reiterated its stance against negotiating with bandits, dismissing allegations of secret talks and financial inducements.

The government described documents circulating online as “bogus” and “misleading”, stating that they were fabricated to mislead the public.

Abubakar Nakwada, Secretary to the State Government, emphasized that the claims were entirely false and aimed at distracting the administration from its efforts to address security challenges.

Nakwada clarified that the government would not engage in dialogue with terrorists, citing previous attempts as unsuccessful and counterproductive.
