China to boost investment in Nigeria following Tinubu’s visit

The Federal Government has announced that China will encourage more companies to invest in Nigeria, following President Bola Tinubu’s recent visit to China and participation in the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, said in a statement that the visit has strengthened bilateral relations, with several agreements signed.

China committed to supporting Nigeria’s economic diversification, particularly in sectors like the digital economy, green development, and agriculture.

Nigeria also welcomed China’s initiatives on AI governance and data security, with both nations agreeing to collaborate on industrial reform and the blue economy.
