Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group, captured local and international media attention this week with the rollout of petrol from the Dangote Refinery.
On Wednesday, Dangote announced that the $20 billion Dangote Refinery is ready to supply petrol to the Nigerian market. This development is expected to help alleviate the ongoing petrol scarcity affecting millions of Nigerians.
“This refinery will fuel growth, development, and prosperity by supplying energy to our people,” Dangote stated during a press briefing.
He also thanked President Bola Tinubu’s administration for creating a supportive environment for the refinery’s success.
“As we have this refinery working, it will show the true consumption of Nigeria; we can track every loaded truck and ship,” Dangote added.
