President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his administration’s dedication to strengthening the Nigeria Police Force with more modern equipments and resources to boost its effectiveness.

Tinubu addressed the graduating class of 478 students from the Nigeria Police Academy in Wudil, Kano State, on Saturday, urging them to embody modern policing principles and uphold the highest ethical standards.

He announced the launch of a large-scale recruitment drive to empower young individuals to contribute to national security efforts.

Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, emphasized the need for the officers to reject corruption and maintain the highest level of professionalism.

He expressed confidence in the officers’ comprehensive training, both academically and professionally, to positively impact the country’s security landscape.

Tinubu assured continued federal government support for the academy, recognized as a top training institution for police officers in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The president tasked the new officers with prioritizing national interests, discharging their duties with dedication and commitment, and upholding the ideals of the police.

He also urged them to focus on effective service delivery.

Tinubu reminded the graduates that they were not only receiving certificates but also becoming ambassadors of the Nigeria Police Service.

He charged them to perform their duties with compassion, integrity, and professionalism.

Tinubu reminded them that their actions would reflect on the institution and the nation.

He concluded by urging them to serve with honor, dignity, and respect for all Nigerians.

Earlier, the Academy’s Commandant, AIG Sadiq Abubakar, stated that the 478 graduates had acquired essential knowledge and skills to enhance the country’s security situation.

He noted that 17 academy programs had received accreditation from the National Universities Commission, reflecting the institution’s high standards.

Abubakar commended the Federal Government for its significant investment in the graduates, leading to the successful graduation ceremony.
