- Umar, a media analyst, urges public support for new appointees in their mission to dismantle political corruption in Nigeria
Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in last year’s election, has appointed Ibrahim Umar as the new spokesman for the Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR). The announcement was made on Sunday by the former spokesman, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, who was recently appointed as the interim National Coordinator of the Obedient Movement.
Tanko described Umar as a “computer media analyst and Bayero University Kano (BUK) graduate.” Umar is from Wase, Plateau State, a member of the Obi-Datti Media Group, and a committed supporter of the Obidient Movement from North Central Nigeria.
Speaking about his new role, Umar mentioned that Tanko’s appointment would involve coordinating the activities of the Obedient Movement both nationally and internationally. He also appealed to the public to support the new appointees in their roles as they continue their efforts towards “dismantling the gang of political criminals holding the nation hostage.”
