The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, has expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the government and people of Borno State following the devastating floods that have affected the region.
In a statement released by his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau, who also serves as the First Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, conveyed his deepest condolences to all those impacted by the disaster.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the government and people of Borno State over the devastating floods that have displaced thousands of residents from their homes,” Senator Barau stated.
He added, “As we extend our deepest sympathies to those affected, I pray to Allah (SWT) to grant comfort and strength to those displaced, and may normalcy be restored. Amin Ya Allah.”
