Former President Muhammadu Buhari has sympathised with the government and people of Borno and other states affected by devastating floods.
In a statement by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, Buhari described the flooding as a national calamity. He mentioned that he had been informed about the extensive destruction of homes and farmland and the loss of lives in Borno and several other states across the federation.
Buhari expressed his hope that the relief efforts undertaken by various governments would comfort those affected and assist them in resuming their normal lives.
