Melaye speaks on being suspended by PDP, reveals person behind party’s crisis

Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, has reacted to his suspension by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He scoffed at reports of his suspension, saying he can’t be suspended because he is a breeze.

Melaye also said Acting Chairman of the party, Illiya Damagun is the party’s problem, saying he only cares about his stomach.

Recall that the PDP Excos in Ayetoro Gbede, Ward 1 had suspended Melaye for anti-party activities and alleged misconducts.

The exco said the former lawmaker was suspended after he refused to honour a summon.

The suspension of the former Kogi West senator was announced by the Ward party executive committee during a meeting in Aiyetoro/Luagba Ward 1 on Friday.

The suspension resolution follows a review of the report of the disciplinary committee set up to investigate alleged anti-party activities against Melaye.

The resolution was signed by the Ward Chairman, Abayomi Osamika and Ward Yodson Dayo, Secretary.

However, in a video posted on X, Melaye said: “You can’t suspend breeze, Damagun is the source of PDP problems. His belly is his God.”
