The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, has extended his congratulations to Muslims as they celebrate Eid-el-Maulud, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, Abbas called on Muslims to pray for Nigeria and its political, religious, and traditional leaders, emphasizing that the country needs divine intervention during this critical time.
He highlighted that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), whose birthday is celebrated by Muslims globally, symbolizes peace and unity. Abbas urged Muslims to embody the Prophet’s teachings of godliness, obedience to authority, and sacrifice.
He also called on all Nigerians to unite for nation-building and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. Abbas assured that the 10th National Assembly, especially the House of Representatives under his leadership, is committed to supporting initiatives that promote peace and prosperity in the country.
The Speaker wished the Muslim Ummah a joyful celebration.
