The Kwara State Local Government Service Commission says it has secured the approval of the state governor, AbdulRaman AbdulRazaq, for the recruitment of healthcare personnel into the state’s basic healthcare sector.
The personnel will include doctors, nurses and other categories of health workers.
A statement signed on Sunday by the commission’s Press Secretary, Lubaba Haliru, noted that the Chairman, Umar Shero, said the vacancies were necessary in the parts of the state where there is a noticeable absence of medical personnel.
The statement read, “The vacancies are for medical doctors, nurses/midwives, CHO, CHEW/JCHEW, Pharm/Technicians, Laboratory technicians and health attendants.
“The recruitment exercise will prioritise the ad-hoc staff who are currently in the system. They will get the right of first refusal as compensation for their work.
“Interested applicants should fill and submit the attached google form (https://forms.gle/jYBgxsjgXnq67cjZ8) between Monday, September 15 and Friday September 20, 2024, and only successful applicants will be contacted for the next phase of the exercise.”
The statement also added that “priorities will also be given to qualified persons living near the facilities where new hands are needed.”
