Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming Onitsha into a modern metropolis.
Speaking during the commissioning of the Trans-Nkisi Recreation Centre, Onitsha, Soludo emphasized the strategic importance of Onitsha as the commercial hub of the South East, stating that regional progress depends on the city’s development.
Soludo unveiled plans to rebuild Onitsha’s markets with multi-storey complexes and outlined ongoing infrastructure projects in Akpaka, 3-3, and GRA.
He called for a Public-Private-Community Partnership (PPCP) to drive development and highlighted the administration’s efforts to fulfill its promises, despite financial constraints.
