The administration of Governor Seyi Makinde has issued a warning to all head teachers and teachers in Oyo State to refrain from holding meetings, both within and outside public school premises, during school hours.

This directive was made public by Nureni Adeniran, Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, while monitoring the resumption of schools in Ibadan on Tuesday.

Adeniran emphasized that any primary school head teacher found engaging in such activities will face strict disciplinary measures.

“This is a clear warning to all head teachers and teachers to avoid holding meetings during school hours,” he stated. “Any primary school head teacher who violates this directive will be severely dealt with.”

Adeniran also urged unions and associations in the basic education sector to comply fully with this policy as the new academic session begins.

He instructed Education Secretaries to ensure that all head teachers in their respective local government universal basic education authorities receive this information.
