They were apprehended following a tip-off

The Osun State Police Command has arrested seven suspected ritualists for possessing human body parts, as revealed during a press briefing in Osogbo on Wednesday.

The suspects, including Johnson Daniel, a mortuary attendant, were apprehended following a tip-off. Daniel was accused of selling human remains and water used for bathing corpses to native doctors, in collaboration with Adetunji Okunade.

During searches of the suspects’ homes, police recovered suspected human bone fragments, a female undergarment, and a notebook with ritual instructions.

All suspects have been charged in court, while investigations continue. The police also paraded five others for armed robbery, with items like a Ford Jeep and a Hunter motorcycle recovered.
