Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has reassured citizens that the state is prepared to handle potential flooding resulting from the release of water from Cameroon’s Lagdo Dam.
Speaking after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu, Alia affirmed the state’s readiness to mitigate risks, despite the Federal Government’s warning about possible floods in several states, including Benue.
The governor highlighted ongoing preventive measures and plans for the dredging of the River Benue while urging residents in flood-prone areas to stay cautious.
