Former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Attahiru Jega has submitted a report on livestock reforms to President Bola Tinubu.
The report, which is submitted on Thursday, seeks to address the myriad of issues mitigating against the livestock sector in Nigeria and also recommends ways to transform it.
Jega was appointed the co-chairman of the presidential committee on the implementation of livestock reforms by the Tinubu-led administration in July this year.
His appointment follows the federal government creation of ministry of livestock development to, among other things, check the perennial clashes between farmers and herders in the country.
