Abuja: Hoodlums kill commercial motorcyclist, steal bike

Hoodlums have murdered a commercial motorcyclists in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.

The deceased, simply identified as Nasiru, was reportedly strangled to death by his attackers at Pegni community in the council.

According to a resident, Ibrahim Saleh, the incident happened on Saturday around 8pm near a cashew plantation.

He said the hoodlums made away with the victim’s bike after killing him.

He disclosed that the victim took two passengers from Tipper Garage in Kuje town and was on his way to Pegi village when the hoodlums ambushed him.

He further said, “On reaching the cashew farm, about a kilometre to Pegi, the hoodlums brought out a rope and strangled the cyclist and escaped with his bike.”

He added that the remains of the deceased were discovered on Sunday by some residents who were going to the farm. The spokeswoman of the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, could not be reached for comment on the incident.
