- Chief Magistrate Patrick Adekomaiya on Thursday directed that Amos be held in the Awarjigoh Correctional Centre in Badagry
One Stanley Amos has been sent to prison for defiling a 13-year-old girl in Lagos State.
A Magistrates’ Court sitting in Badagry ordered that the 28-year-old suspect be remanded in a correctional centre.
Chief Magistrate Patrick Adekomaiya on Thursday directed that Amos be held in the Awarjigoh Correctional Centre in Badagry after Amos pleaded not guilty to defilement.
Adekomaiya also ordered that the case file be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.
He adjourned the case until November 25, for a ruling on Amos’ bail application and the DPP advice will be considered.
Earlier, the police prosecutor, Ayodele Adeosun, informed the court that the defendant committed the offence on Sept.22, at about 3.00pm at Caroline Area of Aradagun, Badagry, Lagos.
Adeosun said the offence committed contravened the provisions of sections 137 and 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
