Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has praised his administration’s achievements across various sectors, stating that the state is setting an example for others in Nigeria.

Speaking at the 64th Independence Day celebration held at Osogbo City Stadium on Tuesday, Adeleke, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye, highlighted progress in infrastructural development, youth empowerment, cultural preservation, and the promotion of peace and security.

“From the development of our infrastructure to the empowerment of our youths, from the preservation of our rich cultural heritage to the promotion of peace and security, Osun State is evolving into a model for other states in the federation,” the governor said.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities for all citizens. Adeleke emphasized the importance of education as part of his five-point agenda and noted that the state government had launched the 2024 Debate Competition to nurture intellectual growth among students.

“The debate competition not only showcased the intellectual abilities of our students but also their passion for our great nation. It is heartwarming to see the depth of insight and innovative solutions these young minds are bringing to the table,” he remarked.
