The Borno State Flood Relief Distribution Committee has enlisted 50 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members to speed up the verification process for distributing flood relief to affected residents.

To ensure success, the corps members undergo training sessions to familiarize themselves with the verification procedures. During the training’s launch, the chairman of the committee, Engr Baba Bukar Gujbawu, stressed the importance of dedication and professionalism in the task.

Gujbawu reiterated that under Governor Babagana Zulum’s mandate, the committee aims to carry out its duties thoroughly within the set timeframe. He urged the corps members to take their assignment seriously, warning that only credible work would be accepted.

Professor Ibrahim Umara, co-chair of the committee, described the verification process as humanitarian and challenging. He encouraged participants to reject any form of bribery and assured them that security measures were in place for their protection.
