Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has described teachers as the foundation of society, shaping the future of the state and nation.

He made this known in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammad, to mark the 2024 World Teachers’ Day in Katsina.

Governor Radda emphasised that his administration is committed to rewarding teachers’ efforts, noting that this year’s theme, “Valuing Teacher Voices: Towards a New Social Contract for Education,” aligns with his vision for education in the state.

“Teachers are the architects of tomorrow, moulding the minds that will lead our state and country forward. It’s our duty to ensure they are valued, supported, and rewarded adequately,” he stated.

The governor highlighted ongoing reforms, including investments in teacher training, prompt payment of salaries, and performance-based incentives. He also announced the clearing of promotion backlogs and timely promotional exams for eligible officers.

Beyond teacher welfare, the Radda administration has made significant improvements in educational infrastructure and the provision of modern teaching aids, aiming to elevate the standard of education and create an optimal learning environment in Katsina State.
