The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has raised the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from N897 to N1,030 per litre at various outlets in Abuja on Wednesday.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that NNPC Ltd outlets in the Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory on Wednesday adjusted the pump price of petroleum to N1,030.

This price hike follows the company’s decision to terminate its exclusive purchase agreement with Dangote Refinery.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) is ending its exclusive purchase agreement with Dangote Refinery, opening up the market for other marketers to buy petrol directly from the refinery.

With the development, NNPC will no longer be the sole off-taker, and marketers can now negotiate prices directly with Dangote Refinery.

It was learnt that NNPC Ltd outlets in the Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory on Monday adjusted the pump price of petroleum to N1,030.
