- The former Rivers State governor said he worked for PDP at the state level but worked against the party during the presidential election
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, says his decision to work against the presidential ambition of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in 2023, reasonable and justified.
Speaking on Tuesday during an interview on, Wike said he has no apology for working against Channels TV.
The former Rivers State governor said he worked for PDP at the state level but worked against the party during the presidential election.
Wike hinged his anti-party activities on fairness, equity, and justice.
Featuring on Channels TV’s Politics Today, Wike also declared that the ousted chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State was not his man.
He said: “Tony Okocha, not my man. They fought me during the governorship election. He’s my friend does not mean I brought him to the APC.
“For the presidential election, I said I was going to support equity, fairness and justice and in the others, I will support my party. That was why we won the governorship, and National Assembly elections.
“For the presidential election, I have no apology for working against the PDP because I don’t believe in injustice and not allowing other people to participate. I said I won’t support injustice and have no apology to render to anybody.”
