The Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, Mele Kyari, on Friday lost his daughter.
The 24-year-old has since been buried in Abuja according to Islamic rights.
Her death was disclosed in a condolence message by a former aide of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad.
Posting on X, Sani wrote: “Deepest condolences to @MKKyari, OFR, the GCEO of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, on the passing of his 25-year-old daughter, Fatima Kyari.
“She passed away on Friday morning and has since been buried in Abuja according to Islamic rites. Allah ya jikan ta.”
Meanwhile, Vice-President Kashim Shettima has sympathized with the family of Mele Kyari over the loss of his daughter, Fatima Kyari.
Shettima, who prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased, asked God to grant the family members the strength to bear the painful exit of their daughter, who was in her prime.
The Vice-President led other mourners at the funeral prayer, held at the Annur Mosque in Abuja.
